The Killian Middle School Honors Band earned Superior ratings and multiple awards at the Showcase of Music Festival.

On Friday, the band traveled to St. Andrew’s UMC in Plano to perform at the Peak Music Festival. The band performed selections from their UIL program.

The band earned unanimous Superior ratings from all judges. Additionally, the band earned Best in Class and was named Grand Champion for the entire festival.

“It was truly a memorable day,” said Jenna Lenhard, assistant band director at Killian. “The kids made beautiful music and connected with the audience is such a profound way.”

“It was a sweep!” said Trevor Ousey, director of bands at Killian. “These kids crushed it today, and the results show it. Their hard work and effort this year has finally paid off. I am so proud of them!”

The bands will perform one final time later this month at their Spring Concert.
