The Killian bands earned multiple Superior ratings and awards at the North Texas Festival of Distinction in Haltom City, TX.
On Thursday, the Symphonic and Honors Bands performed at Haltom High School for the festival and earned Superior Ratings from all three judges. Additionally, the Symphonic Band earned fourth, and Honors Band earned fifth in their respective classifications. Both bands were also named Runner-Ups in their classifications.
On Friday, the Killian Beginning Band also made their competitive debut at the same festival. This was the first contest for the group of 6th graders. They also earned Superior ratings from all judges.
Honors Band will perform in one more festival in early May. All band will perform for the final time at the Spring Concert.
